Camphill

Camphill, also previously known as Gunnerton is quarried at Barrasford near Hexham.

This stone was used in the building of the tenements around Morningside and other projects around Edinburgh from the late 1800’s.

Camphill is a medium grained, creamy white sandstone with dark bed markings with occasional buff tones, this stone should be suitable for most aspects of construction including load bearing masonry, paving and flooring.

There are good reserves of stone available
